(refer to introduction down below)
It’s been quite a bit of time since I last posted on here. I haven’t been focusing on photography as much lately (though I’m sure the impulse will soon return). But I suddenly had an idea for something a little new in the meantime…
I’ve been reading a book for a few weeks now. It’s something very dear to me that started to change my life the moment I laid my hand upon it. It’s called “Reinventing the Body, Resurrecting the Soul” by Deepak Chopra. Its words are opening my eyes, strengthening my heart, and expanding my spirit and soul.

There are so many beautiful words within its pages. So I thought I would share some of my favorite quotes through audio recordings of my own. The book has so much insight, so much depth and truth. I’d like to share its beauty with all who will bear witness.
And so let us begin…
Yesterday I had lunch downtown with my mother and sisters. Then afterward, we visited this beautiful retreat in the mountains. We were scoping it out as a possible wedding location for my sister-in-law. :)

Swanky Sullivan’s in downtown Maryville.

Little beauties.

Reflection versus reality.

The escape.
I had my weekly ladies lunch with my mother and sisters. And that evening, I went for a bikeride and then drove around town at sunset.

Vegan strawberry soup my mom made for me (with soy milk and tofutti sour cream), served on my Memere’s beautiful vintage tablecloth. :)

Delicious strawberry, craisin, pine nut, blue cheese, spinach salad.

Soothing sunset and gorgeous greenery.
Today was my first time back for the weekly ladies luncheon with my sisters and mom (since I was in FL the past month). It was lovely.

My dish of pretzels, carrots, and pasta salad on fresh greens.

A sister’s homage to family.

An ancestor I learned about for the first time ever: my great paternal grandmother, Clara Eva Paquette. :)
Went to Ormond Beach this morning, despite the fact that rain was predicted. And I’m glad we did, because what a beautiful morning it turned out to be. :) Though I presently look like a cherry.

Lovely dunes bursting with wildflowers.

Crabman doin’ the crab dance.

Taking a break from the sun.

The ocean’s opponent.
True story. Here are some recent pictures to prove said love.

Darling daisy-like flowers.

Adorable little snails were everywhere. :)

Laying in the grass is my favorite.
Just a few photos from my most recent adventures with David. :)

Feeding duckies at Lake Dot in Sanford.

Sunset at St. Johns River.

Getting a new perspective on the windy I-4 overpass in Sanford.
Yesterday David and I explored this interesting area of woods not far from the house. It was a spot he had been looking forward to showing me, and it was pretty fascinating. Complete with widespreading potato plants, abandoned bike ramps and bum camps, and some manmade hills with incredible views. :)

Banana spider.

Holly of some sort.

And beautiful yellow lovelies. :)
Yesterday I went to work with my gent David. While he was inside tending to the adorable but needy animals in the vet clinic he works at, I was in the parking lot reading Margaret Atwood and photographing the beautiful nature around me. :)

Beautiful bark.

For the love of pink.

Caught adrift.
Today I went to a lovely art exhibit in downtown Maryville called “Artistic Telephone,” put on by young local artists. It was rather beautiful. They had several different sets of work, and each one was collaborated on by four different artists. Within each set there was a photograph, poem, painting, and song. Each piece in a set was born from the previous, thus all four works shared a single theme. It was a wonderful idea that was beautifully executed. :)

My favorite poem.

The authentic-looking loft in which the exhibit was held.

More poetry, accented by some lovely colorful fabric. :)
After doing some vegan baking this afternoon, I decided to take a break from the kitchen and enjoy my backyard for a bit. I hadn’t been outside all day, and today was beautiful. I also hadn’t visited my backyard in a while, and there were a few new little treats. :)

The cherry tomatoes we never knew we had.

The loner pumpkin in our pumpkin patch. (Also news to us.)

And a beautiful, petite purple flower with an adorable heartleaf. :)
Today is my youngest brother Wyatt’s birthday. He is officially 15. :) So I have a few photos of the card I handmade him. Love doing that for my friends and loved ones.

The front.

Inside.

And my personal stamp on the back. :)
